C. Samuel Bennett II, City Administrator
|
The City Administrator is appointed by the Mayor as authorized by the City Council for an indefinite term. The major duties of the City Administrator include: supervising and coordinating the activities of the city departments; attending Council meetings and making recommendations on appropriate matters of business; ascertaining that all orders and policies of the City Council are implemented; recommending the annual budget; keeping the City Council advised on the financial condition of the city; and representing the city in business with other agencies.
North Augusta’s Administration Department is responsible for staff supervision and support, implementing adopted policies, preparing and maintaining City Council meeting agendas and minutes, adopted ordinances, resolutions and contracts. This department also offers public information and citizen assistance, personnel administration, and city representation in various agencies, councils and organizations.

Donna Young, City Clerk
|
The City Clerk serves as clerk of the Council and is appointed by the Council, upon the recommendation of the city administrator, for an indefinite term. The major duties of the City Clerk include: keeps all records of City Council; prepares, authenticates, and records ordinances and resolutions; keeps elections records; notifies Council of impending expiration of the term of office of board and commission members; keeps the official seal of the city. |

Kelly F. Zier, City Attorney

The City Attorney is appointed and serves at the pleasure of the Mayor and City Council. The City Attorney provides legal counsel to the Mayor, City Council, City Administrator, operating departments and boards and commissions. |

Thomas Murphy, Judge
Belton Weeks, Assistant Judge
|
Municipal judges are appointed and serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and City Council. The city’s judges schedule and rule on municipal offenses and state criminal cases occurring within the city limits, including misdemeanor, criminal and traffic charges.
