
Construction & Land Disturbing Activities
As a component of the development process and the Stormwater Management Program, any public or private, industrial, commercial, and/or residential subdivision project that will be engaging in any land disturbing activity is required to submit the following materials.

A Sediment and Erosion Control Plan (i.e. Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) more details below
A Stormwater Management Permit Application Review Fee. (See details in NOI application above) The application fee is $100 per acre, with a $2,000 maximum. An additional SCDHEC fee of $125.00 is required for projects with more than 1 acre of disturbed land.
Note: Redevelopment and property enhancements to existing commercial and residential sites may be exempt from this permitting requirement. Contact the Stormwater Manager to verify the requirements for your project.

NPDES Permit Information
The following information is provided for use regarding the NPDES General Permit for Discharges from Large and Small Construction Activities (CGP). It will be the responsibility of the site plan engineer and the developer to make sure that their project meets all of the requirements of the new permit.

Required Notice of Termination (Not) for Completed Projects
A Notice of Termination (NOT) is required by SCDHEC for all projects permitted after September 1, 2006. The NOT can only be submitted after the North Augusta Stormwater Management Department has conducted a final inspection that shows that the project is complete and in compliance with all permit requirements. In addition, the project engineer that developed the stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) must submit a statement that all requirements of the SWPPP are correctly installed and operating in compliance with the permit.
