2013 Monthly Report

The City of North Augusta Blue Bag Recycling Program is recognized as one of the best recycling programs in the state. Every three months, one package of Blue Bags is delivered to each residential sanitation customer at no charge. The package contains enough Blue Bags for a typical family to fill one bag per week with recyclables. The City also recycles used tires, various petroleum products and electronics.

In 2012, the City of North Augusta processed 11,706 tons of commingled material through residential curbside recycling, commercial business recycling and event recycling. This would not have been possible without community support.

ELECTRONICS

Did you know residents are required to recycle electronics. In July 2011 South Carolina Legislation passed a law making it illegal for residents to place or discard electronics into a solid waste stream.

Unwanted electronic devices should be placed curbside beside your roll-cart on collection day. These items should not to be placed in roll-carts or bags.
