The Economic and Community Development Department, in cooperation with the Lower Savannah Council of Governments, is implementing a Community Development Block Grant funded housing rehabilitation program in the Carsville neighborhood of the City. Initiated by the North Augusta Community Association, the program will finance the rehabilitation of fifteen owner occupied homes in the first phase. A majority of the owner occupants of the homes to be rehabilitated are senior citizens living on fixed incomes.
