The responsibilities of the Department of Engineering & Santitation Services include the management of residential and commercial sanitation services, animal control, the recycling/resource recovery program and the stormwater management program.

In addition, the Department employs an engineer and engineering assistant, oversees the Department of Building Standards and maintains all City owned vehicles, equipment and buildings.
