The Information Technology Department is charged with providing technological solutions to employees of the City of North Augusta.
Information Technology oversees the organization's information technology infrastructure. The physical part of the infrastructure includes the city's computer system, a wide range of network and internet services and the city's voice and data network.

IT operates in an environment that includes Novell Netware and Microsoft Windows 2000 Server. The tools and applications used by Information Technology include Novell Groupwise, Border Manager, WebAccess and Zenworks.
