North Augusta, North Augusta, Dreaming by the river shore
North Augusta, North Augusta, We’ll be faithful evermore.
In the springtime flowers blooming, redbud, dogwood both so bright
Diamond-studded velvet sky cloaks honeysuckle scented night.
Sun in summer blazing brightly, nearby beaches cool our skin
Softball, soccer in the evening, all the children hope to win.
To the northward lies the forest, dark and wild throughout the year
In the autumn teams play football, hunters search for whitetail deer.
Then the grey rains bring the winter, back we turn to hearth and home
Snug before the blazing fire, no need or urge for us to roam.
North Augusta, North Augusta, Dreaming by the river shore
North Augusta, North Augusta, We’ll be faithful evermore.
Special thanks to Mark Powers and First Baptist Church of North Augusta
