The Capital Projects Sales Tax is a one cent added sales tax that provides funding for multiple projects that support the health, safety, and well-being of the citizens of North Augusta.

Capital Projects Sales Tax IV

In November of 2018, the Citizens of Aiken County approved a referendum to renew the existing 1-cent local options sales tax not to exceed 7 years. Collections will begin in May 2019. The City of North Augusta expects to receive the first payment in January 2020. The following projects have been approved with budgeted amounts.

Capital Projects Sales Tax III

In November 2010, the Citizens of Aiken County approved a referendum to renew the existing 1-cent local options sales tax not to exceed 7 years. The City has estimated it will receive $16,800,000 from the tax and an additional $3,000,000 from Aiken County for parking. The City has collected a total of $18,204,751.70 (includes the $3 million from Aiken County) as of February 28, 2019. Collections will end April 2019.
