Water system flow testing is conducted to ensure that the water system is providing adequate flow and pressure to meet demand, including fire flow.
During flow testing, fire hydrants are fully opened and system pressures are recorded at various flow rates. The maximum flow available at each hydrant is also measured. This data is used to identify deficiencies and assists in planning for system improvements.
The project provides for the availability of water service to residential properties located along Reames Road. City staff will install approximately 690 L.F of 6” pipeline from Hammond Pond Road to the dead-end of Reams Road. The project includes new services taps and a fire hydrant.
